112: Areas That Are Difficult To Trust God For
In the Bible we learn a lot about God, and how He cares for us. He sent His Son, so we can be forgiven, but there is so much more that God offers us. The Bible contains many promises of God for us!
Yet, many of these promises are very difficult to trust God for.
Here are promises of God, each offering blessings to us, but these are in areas where trusting God can be difficult.
1. Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight."
So much of the time we try to take our life into our own hands. We need to trust God more for all that happens in our life.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
2. Isaiah 41:10
"Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
We get so nervous in many situations. We need to remember God said He would give us strength, and will hold us up.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
3. Romans 8:28
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Sometimes life gets really tough, and even confusing. God promises that He will work good things into every circumstance. This is much more than just looking for good in all situations - God says He is actually working good into every situation.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
4. Philippians 4:19
"And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
We worry about whether we will be able to take care of things. God promises He will take care of our needs. It's difficult to trust God for our future, but we need to.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
5. James 1:5
"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
We often struggle to know what the right decision is, or how to approach certain problems. We forget to ask God for wisdom. He promises that if we ask, He will give it to us.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
6. Isaiah 26:3
"The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You."
God says that when we focus on Him, we actually can have perfect peace. God would not have said that unless He planned to fulfill that in us. If we trust God, He will give us perfect peace.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
7. Psalm 34:17-18
"The righteous cry, and the Lord hears And delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit."
When we have trouble, if we cry out to God, He will take care of us. When our burdens weigh heavily on us, God says He will be even closer than ever, and will be walking with us in those troubles.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
8. Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Life can exhaust us. Sometimes we just get so tired. God tells us to come to Him in these times, and He will give us rest.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
9. 2 Corinthians 12:9
"And He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.' Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me."
God promises that some of the best moments are when we are weak and unable to take care of things, because it is in those moments that God truly works and reveals Himself. So, when we are weak and don't think we can take care of things, those are the moments God shines.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
10. Hebrews 13:5-6
"Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, 'I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,' so that we confidently say, 'The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?'
We are often so burdened with financial cares. This can make us very anxious and worried. God promises He will take care of our future.
It's a promise of God, we need to trust it.
These are all promises of God. We need to keep them close, to keep reminding ourselves of them. And, we need to trust that since God promised these things to us, He will do it.
Because that's who are God is.
