1 Samuel 17:24 — When all the men of Israel saw the man, they fled from him and were greatly afraid.
1 Samuel 17:26 — Then David spoke to the men who were standing by him, saying, "What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should taunt the armies of the living God?"

Acts 20:22-24 — ~"And now, behold, bound by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me. ~"But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.
1 Corinthians 16:13 — Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
Philippians 1:27-28 — Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; in no way alarmed by {your} opponents--which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that {too,} from God.
2 Timothy 1:7 — For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
