1 Samuel 17:24 — When all the men of Israel saw the man, they fled from him and were greatly afraid.
1 Samuel 17:26 — Then David spoke to the men who were standing by him, saying, "What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should taunt the armies of the living God?"
1 Samuel 17:32 — David said to Saul, "Let no man's heart fail on account of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine."

Esther 5:1-2 — Now it came about on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace in front of the king's rooms, and the king was sitting on his royal throne in the throne room, opposite the entrance to the palace.
When the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight; and the king extended to Esther the golden scepter which {was} in his hand. So Esther came near and touched the top of the scepter.

Upon hearing {this,} they entered into the temple about daybreak and {began} to teach.
Now when the high priest and his associates came, they called the Council together, even all the Senate of the sons of Israel, and sent {orders} to the prison house for them to be brought.

Acts 20:22-24 — ~"And now, behold, bound by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,
except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me.
~"But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.
1 Corinthians 16:13 — Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
Philippians 1:27-28 — Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
in no way alarmed by {your} opponents--which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that {too,} from God.
2 Timothy 1:7 — For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
