What Does the Bible Say?

Will my actions affect God's eternal plans?

No.

God doesn’t rule the universe by waiting for you to make a choice.
Before we pray for something, God has heard our prayer AND answered that prayer. It’s a hard concept to understand in human terms, but an all knowing God has even forgiven us before we sin, because He has already heard our repentance that we have yet to do.

But there is a difference between His will for man and His knowledge of whether man has followed His path. Think of God’s will as the original Garden of Eden. Sin/disobedience is never God’s will. He foreknew that we would sin and disobey, and while that is not His perfect will, He allowed it because He also knew that Jesus would redeem these people.

God is omniscient (all knowing).
God is sovereign.
God is holy.
