Does the Bible contain error, contradiction, or discrepancies?
Any errors found in Scripture are simple grammatical or word choice errors that take nothing away from the overall meaning of Scripture. These can be due to either the translation to English or to the manuscripts that they were translated from. The only 100% accurate texts would be the original manuscripts, which we no longer have. Yet, more and more researchers find that the manuscripts we have line up almost exactly with earlier ones (e.g. the Dead Sea Scrolls), so we are seeing that the text from the original manuscripts has been preserved through copies over time.
That aside, the Bible tells us that all Scripture is God-breathed, meaning it came straight from Him. While we may debate on simple grammatical errors, this shouldn’t change how we interpret Scripture.
2 Timothy 2:15 — Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
